The armpit

I have to admit that I have spent FAR too much time wondering about my right armpit lately. How can one body part that was previously so non-existent in my world (besides the occasional sweat issue) move from that place to my constant wonderment in a matter of weeks? I guess shoulder surgery will do that to a person. I have discovered though that it actually is an integral part of the shoulder. And here I just thought it was a leftover sunken in hole from creating the rest of the amazing human body. Nah, it turns out that it is important too. But, it is also most annoying when one cannot properly care for a body part. The first week was so horrible. I was so embarrassed when I had to go back to the doctor and to meet a new physical therapist after not being able to tend to it's needs that first week. Thankfully the therapist was able to teach me a few tricks and we were back on track. The armpit was no longer neglected. Phew for everyone! Now that I am 4 weeks out it is amazing how much your body can heal in that amount of time. I am for sure still disabled, but thankfully things are returning to a more normal state. I was even able to figure out a "unique", shall we say, way of shaving. Never have I loved shaving my armpits, but it is now something I shall treasure. Just the pure ability to do it. And typing too. I can finally type with 2 hands, but for a short period of time because the desk and chair are definitely NOT ergonomically correct for my height. Oh well.

Anyway, I am wondering if anyone else has seen the commercial from Boost Mobile with the red headed girl on the bike with her boyfriend on the back. I had seen it before my surgery and thought it was funny and so did Jacob. We laughed when we saw it, but now it has a whole new meaning. I almost peed my pants when I saw it the other night. And then I sighed a thankful sigh of relief that I can no longer try out for her spot on the bike. Really, it made me laugh so hard. I should look it up and put a link on here, but I am too tired to do it. Hopefully y'all are smart enough to look for it should you need a good laugh.

Well, enough about me armpit! I just had to post something and I haven't uploaded pictures yet of Rachel's birthday and all the other things we have been doing. I promise to do it soon....likely after the weekend as it is full of fun stuff for Anna's birthday. Wow, my girls are getting so old. Hopefully they won't develop stinky armpits like their brother and apparently their mother!
