Spring Break in Utah: The park

We were able to enjoy some EXTREMELY nice weather while we were in Utah. We took full advantage and met some of our BEST FRIENDS at Sugarhouse Park. We spent a couple of hours playing and talking and eating snacks...which some of the Seagulls shared with us. When we were done, we sadly said goodbye to the Davis family and then went on a short tour of where we used to live. We also drove by Grandma and Grandpa's old house. Weird to see the old hood. Really weird. We topped it off with some fast food and headed home to wash that park right off of us! We were dirty from head to toe (Rachel may have tried to ingest some wood chips) and exhausted. What a great way to spend a beautiful Spring Day. Thanks to the Davis clan for meeting us a little more than halfway!

Rachel LOVED the swing. Who doesn't?

But then this monkey o mine remembered that her toes were out and had to see them yet again.
Anna and Chloe swinging. Chloe had to be sweating in her hat. It was fun for them to see each other again. They spent nearly all of Chloe's first year together!
Trying to get a picture. They are sitting in the back of the van.
Mike and Jodi were so silly that they are laughing their heads off.And one last try:
After this I hurriedly left so that I wouldn't start crying. Oh how I miss my Jodi time. And I guess Mike a little bit, too! Thanks for playing with the kids so we could talk and laugh!

Oh my goodness, these kids! Together again. And Jodi, if you read this, it shows how long it's been since I've seen a super-recent pic of Chloe, because she looks so much older! Gahhhh, all these kids are growing up. And Jacob turning 7??? Anna and that hair? Mindy, they are so adorable. Glad you had such a fun time in Utah!

We LOVED seeing you guys again! We can't wait until the end of May when you all return :) Thanks for the fun times at the park. I got a taste of my ol' Mindy time that I miss so dearly!! It's a good thing we live closer now and not 2500 miles apart, 800 is manageable, not perfect but managable.

So where was the phone call for lunch? I'll forgive you I guess, I do know how crazy it is going on vacation to "home" where you've got a million people to see. Seriously, though next time!

Why we joined this bloggy-blog world!

We hope that we can keep in better contact with our friends and family, both near and far. Besides, it is easier to see pictures this way instead of emailing them! And did we mention we think our family is pretty cute, especially those kids of ours! Check back often and keep in touch!

About Me

I am a proud 32 year old woman (you know they say 30 is the new 20!) I am married to Bart, the love of my life, and we have three amazing kids, Jacob, 6 1/2, Anna,3 1/2, and Rachel 9 mos. We met in college in Utah and lived there for the first 6 years of our marriage. Then we followed Bart's career and moved out to the East Coast. We decided to follow it back to the west about a year ago and are adjusting to life in a new place. We are sure thankful for all that we have and hope to stay in better touch with friends and family alike with our blog!
